Snow, Snow, Snow

My poor little guy has been cooped up inside a lot this last week, because it has been so cold. But today wasn't to bad so we got all bundles up and went and played outside. We were in the backyard for a little while, but then I decided he needed a littl more room to make tracks so we went out into the field. He loved it!

Rigby Light Parade

Every year the town of Rigby puts on a light parade and what they call "Midnight Madness" at the first of December. I had never been before so I thought it would be fun to take Mitchell. He loved it until the fire trucks came by, he doesn't like loud sounds so the sirens did not go over very well. He wanted me to hold him and cover his ears. After the parade Santa Claus comes over to the library and hands out treats. Mitchell was really excited to see Santa Claus, so we waited in line in the freezing cold for about 15 minutes so that he could see "HO, HO, HO". After that we went shopping a little bit, all the stores in Rigby (there aren't many), stay open til around midnight and they have pretty good sales. It was really fun but I was sure glad to get home out of the cold.

Utah Football

My family (well most of us), love Utah football. My dad has tickets to the home games so every now and then we get the oppurtunity to go. We went on Halloween and Mitchell was able to wear his halloween costume. He was a wolf, but it was a really warm costume and halloween wasn't very cold this year so he only lasted till about the 2nd quarter then he wanted it off.

We were also fortunate enough to go to the Utah/BYU game. (Thanks Dad!) I was so excited! Even though both teams played horrible and the outcome was not to my liking, I had a great time cheering on the Utes. All I can say is at least the Utes can lose with class and dignity, not something I can say about BYU this year. There quarterback couldn't even win with class and dignity. GO UTES! :)

This last weekend my family was able to go down to St. George and Las Vegas for the Utah vs.UNLV game. We had a good time hanging out with the family and getting away for awhile. Mitchell had a lot of fun with his cousins. Thanks dad and Sharon for a fun weekend!

Tailgatting before the game.

Farm Boy

A few weeks ago Justen and Glen got a truck full of grain. Mitchell thought it was great. He would have played in that dump truck for hours if we would have let him. He made me a little nervous when he was putting his head through the hole at the end of the truck. All in all, he had a fun time helping his dad and Papa unload the grain.

Last week we headed off to the Eastern Idaho State Fair. Justen's horse Duke ran on Monday, so we spent the day at the fair seeing the animals. Mitchell loved the sheep and pigs. I went out before we went to the fair and purchased a child leash. I swore I would never own one of these, but I am sure glad that I had it. Mitchell was able to have a little freedom and I could still keep track of him. On Tuesday night we went down to the rodeo. Mitchell loves to watch all of the events, though he was quite concerned about the cows during the calf tying. He kept telling us the "Moos were owwy" and then when they would let the loose he would say "Moo's go, go, go". Needless to say we may not have a calf-tyer on our hands. All in all we had a good time.

Jumping in the Rain

This summer we got Mitchell a trampoline, he loves it! He constantly wants to go outside and jump on the tramp. The other day he wanted to go outside so bad, but it was raining really hard. I think I turned my back for about a minute and he was gone out the back door running for the tramp. He loved jumping on his tramp in the rain. Boys will be Boys!!
