Day at the Park

On Sunday afternoon, we went to the park with some family and let the kids get there wiggles out. This park is a handicapped accesible, so the ground is soft and we can let the kids run around without worring to much. There is a picture of Mitchell and Kenidee in on of the handicapped swings. They liked it for about a minute then they wanted out.

Zoo, Build a Bear, and Gateway Water Fountain

The day after the wedding we headed to Hogle Zoo. I was so excited to take Mitchell to the zoo, he didn't get as excited as I thought he should have, maybe next year. He did love the elephants, we told him what noise an elephant makes and he did it all through the rest of the zoo. He also liked the carousel, he had a great time on it with his dad. After the zoo we headed to Gateway to Build a Bear, Mitchell and his cousin each built a bear. Wait let me rephrase that Mitchell's mom built a bear for Mitchell. His favorite part was the stuffing machine, but he did get a cute puppy in a red football uniform that we appropriately called "UTE". After Build a Bear we let the kids run through the water in the Gateway. They had a lot of fun but I think Mitchell was getting cold, so we didn't stick around to long. All in all it was a fun, exhausting day.

So I am a total slacker, I was just looking at the pictures on my camera and realized I have a lot that I haven't put on here. Justen's cousin, Alex, was married in the SLC Temple on April 30th. Here are a few pictures of my handsome boy. If I could just keep up with the little rascal.

Family Pictures

On the first weekend in May we headed down to Utah for my nephews baby blessing. While we were there we had our family pictures taken, this is the first time we have had them taken in about 8 years. It was a lot of "fun", Mitchell is not the easiest little boy to photograph. He doesnt' sit still for very long and if there is any water around that is where his attention is at. Here is what we ended up with.

When mom's away ....

I have to admit sometimes I can become preoccupied with things and don't pay attention to what my darling son is doing. This is one of those occasions. I was on the computer when all of a sudden it was really quiet around the house. It is usually only that quiet when Mitchell is sleeping or into something, since I knew he wasn't sleeping I figured he was into something. I have my flour in a big Tupperware in the bottom of my pantry, well apparently I didn't put it back last time I used it because Mitchell was having one heck of a time playing in it. I snapped a few pictures before I cleaned up the mess.

World Champions!!!!

Well it was an exciting few days at the World Chariot Races. My dad as well as Justen were running in the first division and my dad also had a team in the 2Nd division. They all did awesome!! I am so proud of all of them. My dad's team in the 2nd division ended up 3rd, only because on of the horses, Orange Saint, came up sore after the race on Friday and when they brought him back on Sunday he wasn't much better. I am so glad that they decided not to run at the last minute. I would have hated for something worse have happened. Justen and Glen did really well also up until the last day when Joe came up soar and not wanting to hurt him any worse decided to pull out on the last day. If they would have run they would have been running for 4th, 5th , and 6th in the 1st division. My dad's big team of Dominant Cash and Summer Love were amazing, they ended up first in the first division, which means they are the 2009 World Champions. I am so happy for my dad, he has been going after this for a long time. He totally deserves it. Also, Zac Vane had been driving the team all year, let his dad Larry drive them in the final dash. They are a great family and I am happy that I am able to call them my friends. Congratulations to all of you!!
P.S. It was way exciting, but I am sure glad it is over. I need my Saturdays back.

Happy B-Day Justen!!

Well I am really late on this one,but the last few weeks have been super crazy and I just haven't had a chance to post. Justen turned 32 on the 18th of March, we just had a little party for hime here at the house. Last year I made Mitchell a horse cake for his birthday, Justen made fun off it and I told him for his birthday I would make him the other end. So that is what I did, it took me a little bit to figure it out but I think it turned out pretty funny. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband. He works so hard for us and I know it isn't always easy to live with me. I hope you had a great birthday and know that I love you!
