Snow, Snow, and More Snow

Well you can definately tell that it is winter around here. It has been snowing off and on for about two weeks. Mitchell was getting sick of staying inside so we bundled him up and Justen took him outside to play. He loves the snow, he played and played, but was happy to come inside. As you can see his cheeks are nice and rosie. Usually he fights us about coming in from the house, but this day he didn't put up a fight.

Santa Claus

Justen, Mitchell, and I braved the snow and were able to go to the Harris Santa Claus party. It was so much fun to see everyone and to spend time with my family. Last year Mitchell didn't mind Santa at all, this year he was not a fan. Even with me sitting on his lap he wanted to get away. Oh well maybe next year.

Polar Express

The day after Thanksgiving, my parents took us all on the Polar Express. It was a lot of fun. Mitchell loved the "Choo Choo" and took to dancing in the aisles. I think the highlight of the night was being serenaded by Abbey and Tom. Thanks Dad and Sharon for the great memories.

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday, so I just wanted to be sure to wish her a happy birthday. She would be so happy to know that I can't remember exactly how old she would have been. Heck, I am lucky if I can remember how old I am. It is really wierd to think that it has been ten years since she past away. I miss her everyday and wish that she coulde be here for so many things. I think the thing that makes me the saddest is that Mitchell will never be able to know her in this life. I know that she is watching over all of us and loves us very much. Since obviously I cannot get her a present, I just wanted to share some of the things that I admire most about my mom, sort of a Tribute to my Mom.
-I admire her vest for life. She was always eager to start the next day (so eager that she got up at about 4 every morning), and see what she could get accomplished.
-Her patience for her family and others. She had to be a patient person to teach 30 fifth graders.
-Her ability to multi-task. I still do not know how she juggled three kids, teaching full-time, and being the stake young womens president. The busier she was the happier she was. She could not sit still for very long.
-She was always very optimistic. Not much could get her down.
-She loved to serve those around her. She was always helping someone out by watching their kids, making meals, or even letting them live with us for awhile.
-Her love for our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the church.

Happy Birthday MOM!!! I Love You!

On th Tractor with Grandpa

We went over to my dad's office, on our way home yesterday and Dad let Mitchell drive the forklift, honk the semi's horn, and help drive the big tractor. Everything is a tractor to Mitchell right now, so this totally made his day. We had to force him out of the big tractor. He is a country boy at heart!

Go UTES!

Justen and I had the great oppurtunity to go to the UofU vs. TCU football game on Thursday night. It was a really good game, especailly that last minute or so. I didn't think that the Utes were going to be albe to get this one, but they surprised me and I think they surprised the entire TCU football team. One more game and then the big one. BYU you better watch out, cause they are coming for you! Thanks Dad for the tickets and thank you Sharon for watching my little guy. GO UTES!

Happy Halloween!!

I am such a slacker when it comes to posting things, but oh well. Here are some pics from Halloween. Mitchell was a very good-looking pirate. I tried to draw a mustache on him, but it ended up all over his face, he wouldn't sit still long enough. We taught him to say "Aaarrgg" when asked what a pirate says. We had a good time, and Mitchell only made it until about 7:30 p.m. Then he woke up at Grandma's to play with his cousin. It was a fun day, just wish it was a little longer.
