50 Things About Me
I got this idea from my cousin Kim. I haven't blogged for awhile so I thought this would be a good way to get me back into the swing of things. If you are reading this you probably already know most of this, but who knows I might surprise you.
1. I am truly smitten with my little boy, Mitchell. I didn't realize that I could love someone so much. I mean I love my husband but it just isn't the same as the love I have for my little man.
2. I am a the poster child for a daddy's girl. He is one of my best friends and confidants. I can't do much without getting the opinion of my father. This sometimes drives my husband crazy, but I warned him of this before we were married
3. I am and always will be a country girl. I love living where there aren't a lot of people and my neighbors can't see into my windows.
4. I believe that my mom is always watching over me and especially my little boy. Sometimes I catch him smiling at nothing and I wonder if he feels her too, I hope he does.
5. I have what I like to call the Neilson Temper, it takes a lot to get me upset but when I do it is not good. Thanks Dad!
6. I loved junior high, hated high school, and looooved college (maybe a little too much).
7. I love to ride and take care of my horses. I would rather clean a horses stall than clean my house.
8. I am a procrastinator, especially about doings things that I don't want to do. This is a fault I am trying to work on, so far it is not going well.
9. I love being around my family. We always seem to to have a good time no matter what we are doing.
10. I have the greatest extended family. I miss you all and hope to see you soon, but who knows with these gas prices.
11. I love the sound of the rain on my roof and the smell after a good rain storm. (We have had a lot of that lately.)
12. My favorite colors are red and yellow.
13. I am not a morning person. I need at least 20 minutes to fully wake up and be a nice person. Luckily when I have to go to work I wake up at 4:30 and no one else is even moving, so I get a little alone time.
14. I love to hear my little boy laugh. It is probably the greatest sound I have ever heard.
15. I am afraid of the dark, especially when I am outside alone in the dark. I totally freak myself out. Those nightlights aren't just for Mitchell.
16. I have a condition of what I like to call carkilepsy. If I am in the passenger seat of the car and we are driving more than 20 minutes, it is a guarantee that I am going to fall asleep.
17. When I was young we always had teenage boys living in our basements and their friends were always over, I absolutely loved this. Especially when my cousins would come over to hang out. It was so much fun to have them over and even though I don't see them very often I still feel like we have a very special bond between us. Love you guys!
18. I love the water. It doesn't matter if it is the ocean, a lake, or a swimming pool. I would rather be laying around in the water than on the sidelines.
19. I am not very coordinated or flexible. I have never been able to touch my toes (the rods in back don't help much), and I probably fall walking normal than most people.
20. I broke my foot twice in one year. (hence #19) Once a fell done one stair at my Aunt Joan's and the second time was when I fell done the stairs playing ultimate spoons with my college roommates.
21. I am left-handed, which is supposed to mean that you are a little more creative. This does not apply to me. I am not very creative, though I try, but most of the time I do not succeed.
22. I am not sure what my original hair color is. I have dyed my hair so often I haven't seen it for awhile.
23. I love to read. I just wish that I had more time to do it.
24. I am not a fan of feet, especially men's feet. I am okay to touch Justen's but anyone-else's feet give me the willeys (is that a real word?).
25. I can't stand my toes not painted. It drives me crazy, I am not sure why but rarely will you see me without paint on my toes.
26. I tried salmon for the first time this last April at my cousins wedding. It wasn't too bad, still seafood is not my favorite food. But I could go for some salmon, maybe.
27. I love to watch sunrises and sunsets.
28. I hate to do the dishes. I am so grateful for a dish washer, I didn't have one for the first two years of our marriage. It gets well used.
29. I am the worst at returning phone calls. My intentions are always good, but I never seem to get around to it. So it you have called me and I haven't returned your phone call, I am so sorry.

30. My eyes are probably my favorite physical feature.
31. I wish I was more motivated to exercise. Once again, I have the best of intentions but it rarely happens.
32. I am deficient in vitamin B12, so my lucky husband gets the opportunity to give me a shot once a week. I think he enjoys it more than he should.
33. I work on the Labor and Delivery Floor, and I love it. I get to play with babies all day and at the end of the day I get to give them back.
34. I love purses and bags. I like to change my bag at least once a month. It drives Justen crazy, but he just doesn't understand.
35. I was in a car accident when I was 14 and I broke my elbow, back, and I cut my head open. So I have three sweet scars.
36. My dream vacation would be to Italy. I have always wanted to go there, I want to go to little villages as well as to the touristy places. Someday I will get there.
37. I become stressed and overwhelmed quite easily, luckily I live with a man that seems to never get stressed, if he does he doesn't show it.
38. I have learned that 30-32 hrs is the longest I can stay awake. I actually just found this out today, I am going on hour 30 and can hardly keep my eyes open. Only one and a half hours left to go and I get to go to sleep.
39. I have a hard time saying "no" to people when they ask me to do things. I am getting better, but I get myself into some fun predicaments when I do this (such as the one above).
40. I miss the rush that I used to get when I was running the barrels. Especially when you knew that it was a good run and a good time. Can't wait to get back to it.
41. I hate to wear shoes. I wish that I could go barefoot all over, kind of weird considering #25. But what can I say my feet are cute!
42. I love to watch my little Mitchell shake his booty. He loves to dance, it doesn't matter what is playing he will find a way to dance to it.
43. I love being a wife and mother. I always looked forward to the day that I would me able to say that I was a wife and mother, I just didn't know how amazing it would really be.
44. I believe that each of us has the ability inside us to do something great, we just have to look for it and take advantage of the opportunities life gives us. I am still trying to figure out what I am great at, but I know I will figure it out.
45. The longer I am out of school the more I want to go back and finish. I am still not really sure what I want to do, but I am only 24 I still have time to figure all that out, right?
46. I am finally riding horses regularly and I am going to start running in barrel jackpots soon, I hope. I haven't ridden a horse since I was pregnant with Mitchell and since he was born I have just been busy. I hadn't ever realized what riding a horse did for me, both mentally and physically. First, let me just say that I didn't understand why people were so sore after they rode a horse, but now I know. Second, there is just something satisfying about being up on a horse and working together to accomplish something. I never have felt that I have had a passion for something, but I think riding horses could be my passion. I just took a break for awhile.
47. I am always trying to find new talents within myself. The latest is making hair bows for my nieces. I get started on something and I get hooked. Next I would like to try cake decorating (maybe Jordan and Jessica can help me out with this one).
48. I wish that I had just one more day with my mom, so that I could ask her all of the questions that always pop up into my head. There is so much that I want to know and wish that she could be the one giving me the answers.
49. I love to rock my little boy to sleep. I realize he is getting older and I should try and just lay him down. But I love to hold him in my arms without him trying to get away.
50. I love my family and friends, and I am so grateful to all of you for everything that you have done and do for me.

On the 12th we went and biked to a fort that protected the Columbia river in one of the wars(I can't remeber what war or what the name of the fort was) we also biked to a ship wreck on the beach. I was really fun, but my legs and butt were quite sore towards the end. I don't remember bike seats being so uncomfortable when I was a child.

Oregon
On April 11th, we all headed to Oregon for my cousins wedding. When we arrived we headed to the Oregon coast for the night. It was Mitchell's first time at the beach and the ocean. He wasn't very fond of the 48 degree water. We put his feet in a few times and then he would start to scream if we tried so that was the end of that. My aunt Lisa, Uncle Rod, Tarrin, Tyrell, and their little girl McKinlee went with us. We had a great time playing in the water. Our hotel was right on the beach which was a lot of fun also. We fell asleep and woke up to the sound of the ocean.

Chariot Races
We started Chariot Racing in November and as of two weeks ago we are done. It is fun while it lasts, but I will be honest I am happy that it is over. Justen went to the Idaho State and the World Finals in the Fifth Division. He did really well overall. He won second at both the state and the world championships. We were all really pleased with the outcome. He also had the wonderful oppurtunity to race one of my dad's teams. He almost beat them in the final dash, but my dad's team was really fast. My dad ended up 1st in the 5th division and 2nd in the 1st division. It was fun but I am glad that it is done.
